The children of Uganda got a full two month break for summer (our winter) this year because the semester was cut short because of an Ebola outbreak that had already killed 8 children. Uganda doesn’t like school to be cancelled as it gives the children more time to wander the villages and school literally prevents teenage pregnancy as well as child marriages according to independent research. They will be starting the new year on February 6th and hopefully all will be well.
