Simple things can get so complicated! I wanted to send a couple of old unlocked phones to Brian in Uganda but keep running into situations that make you wonder if it’s worth it. It’s between $50 and $80 USD just to send from here by the U.S. Postal Service depending on what service you choose and what value you claim. To ensure correctly it would be about $400 USD in case something happened. Once it gets to Uganda the tariffs and duties on a $400 package would be almost another $100 USD. If I claim only $50 then Brian would only have to pay about $15 USD. What do you do?
